We are excited to announce that the Academy of Gifted Education in Takapuna was a finalist for the Steel Construction New Zealand (SCNZ) Awards – Congratulations Black Steel Mobile for going above and beyond.
The school opened in 2021 for 150 gifted young children in the area. This project presented a challenging site requiring the integration and conversion of existing commercial and residential buildings and the addition of a playground. We are proud to be part of the team that designed and delivered this beautiful and sustainable urban school to the communities.
Congratulations to everyone involved, including AGE School, the steel fabricators Black Steel Mobile Ltd, the engineers Markplan Consulting Ltd, the builders Lindesay Construction, the project manager Milne Project Management, Planners CIVIX, and the ecologist GreenAir.
We would also like to give a special shout out to Louis Sundar from Black Steel Mobile who was a finalist in the Young Achiever of the Year and Kelly Jeffries who won the Young Achiever of the Year – the first woman to have won this award.
